History of WRTC

The Wildlife Research & Training Centre (WRTC), Gorewada, Nagpur, was established through the collaborative efforts of the Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur, and the Forest Development Cooperation of Maharashtra Ltd., Nagpur. The aim is to enhance wildlife conservation efforts through scientific research, training, and forensic investigations. Over the years, WRTC has become a pivotal institution, supporting forest departments, law enforcement agencies, and conservationists in safeguarding India's rich biodiversity.
